Submissions Closed 15 January 2021 11:59 PM ET
Purpose
SOFWERX, in concert with USSOCOM Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SOF AT&L), will assist in identifying the most viable methods of implementing a more cohesive and streamlined approach to engage with Industry, Academia, National Laboratories, and other potential innovators.
Background
SOF AT&L works closely with Industry, Academia, Labs, and other potential innovators in meeting its mission to provide rapid and focused acquisition, technology, and logistics support to Warfighters, delivering the most effective capabilities to the Special Operations Forces.
There are multiple pathways Industry and other potential partners can follow to engage with USSOCOM. The current engagement construct is continually being examined and can be improved. SOF AT&L wants to provide potential partners with clearer guidance on how to do business with USSOCOM and further lower the barriers of entry for respondents.
Why You Should Participate
The outcome of these responses will be the basis for improving the USSOCOM SOF AT&L engagement strategy with Industry, Academia, National Labs, and others interested in doing business with USSOCOM.
Timeline
Completed Phase 1 – 16 December 2020 Government Only Collaboration Event: SOFWERX, alongside USSOCOM SOF AT&L, will collaborate with Government representatives to identify challenges of the current USSOCOM Industry engagement construct. Participation in the event is designed to provide insight to ensure Government Stakeholders understand the problem set(s) fully and increase the likelihood of determining what changes need to be made to the current approach.
Completed Phase 2 – 06 January 2021 to 15 January 2021 Feedback Submission: Industry, Academia, National Laboratory, and other innovators may submit feedback to communicate their experience engaging with USSOCOM via the Technology and Industry Liaison Office (TILO), Engage SOF (eSOF), SOFWERX, Vulcan, Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs), Sources Sought, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program, or other means.
ATTENTION: There is no monetary award associated with submitting a response to the request for information. Inputs will be used to help refine the engagement construct and inform USSOCOM of ways to improve.
Phase 3 – TBD 2021 Follow-On: USSOCOM SOF AT&L will, subsequently, review the submitted responses in order to implement a path forward for innovative solution-offerors to better understand how best to do business with USSOCOM.
